Terms of Service
Effective Date: March 24, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Event Relay service (“Service”). By purchasing access, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference and explains how Event Relay, LLC collects, uses, retains, and discloses information in connection with the Service.
1. Who We Are
“Event Relay” refers to Event Relay, LLC (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
2. Description of Service
Event Relay provides an SMS-based assistant designed to help event hosts respond to guest questions regarding event details.
The Service includes:
- Automated SMS responses
- A defined message allotment per event
- Event-based configuration tools
The Service is informational only and is not a substitute for professional advice or emergency services.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
The Service is not intended for use by individuals under 18.
If you are purchasing or using the Service on behalf of another person or entity, you represent that you have authority to bind them to these Terms.
4. Account Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating an account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
5. Suspension, Termination, and Effect of Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Service, or created risk to Event Relay, LLC, guests, carriers, or third parties.
Upon suspension or termination, your right to access and use the Service will immediately cease. Event Relay, LLC may disable access to your account or event configuration and may delete or remove content as described in Section 11 (Data Retention and Deletion) and our Privacy Policy.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including (without limitation): SMS Compliance and Guest Consent, Acceptable Use, Automated Responses Disclaimer, Data Retention and Deletion, Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and any other provisions intended to survive.
We reserve the right to refuse service, suspend access, or cancel Service availability at its discretion where necessary to comply with law, carrier requirements, or risk management.
Event Relay, LLC may also temporarily pause event functionality where necessary to address compliance, security, or operational concerns.
6. Event Access and Service Period
Event Relay provides access to the Service on a per-event basis (“Event Access”).
When you purchase Event Access, you receive a limited, non-transferable right to use the Service for a specific event.
Access Period
- Access begins upon purchase and event configuration.
- Access remains active for the duration associated with the selected event.
- Event Access is a one-time purchase and does not automatically renew.
Certain optional features (such as Event Line plans) may be offered on a recurring subscription basis and will be clearly identified at the time of purchase.
Messaging Availability
Messaging functionality is available only while an event is active.
- Messaging functionality ends at the conclusion of the event date in the event's designated timezone.
- Messaging will not resume for events whose event date has passed, even if the event date is later modified.
Event Date Management
- Events must have a valid event date.
- You may update the event date prior to the event date, provided the new date is in the future and the event is in an editable state.
- Modifying an event date does not extend access, message allotments, or service limits unless explicitly stated at the time of purchase.
Message Allotments
- Each event includes a defined message allotment.
- Messaging may be limited once the allotment is reached unless additional capacity is purchased.
- Unused messages do not roll over.
Event Phone Numbers
Temporary event phone numbers are assigned for the duration of the event and may be released and reassigned after the event is no longer active.
7. Payment and Refunds
Payment is required at the time of purchase of Event Access.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
All payments are non-refundable except in cases of duplicate billing or technical error caused by us.
Because access is tied to a specific event and message allotment, failure to use the Service does not entitle you to a refund.
Event Relay, LLC does not automatically charge for additional message usage beyond the included message allotment. Additional message capacity must be purchased through a separate transaction requiring explicit user consent.
Certain features, including Event Line plans, may be offered on a recurring subscription basis. By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorize Event Relay, LLC to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until the subscription is cancelled.
You may cancel recurring subscriptions at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation will apply to future billing periods and does not entitle you to a refund for charges already incurred unless required by law.

You are solely responsible for:
- Obtaining any required consent from guests before submitting their phone numbers
- Ensuring compliance with applicable communication laws (including TCPA and similar laws)
